For a moment there, I was undecided—rain or shine, cloudy west with the setting sun or dusky northeast with the passing sprinkle, no light or little light—and I opted for rain. It proved to be a good call for the sun, wedged between a thick cloud and the Wotans Throne, magically lit up the Desert View Watchtower while, beyond it, the summer rain continued to dance into the Little Colorado River Gorge.
